A woman with light brown hair in loose waves, wearing a colorful geometric pattern shirt, blue jeans, and red sneakers, standing against a dark gray brick wall. Next to her, there is a yellow stool with a metal container filled with paintbrushes, a red jacket draped over the stool, and a dark red bag underneath.

Melbourne artist & Creative director

The person you call when something needs to be made.

Creative direction, commercial thinking, and hands that can do the work.

That's creative execution.

About Aprill

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair and a light gray sweatshirt with blue and red graphics stands in an artist's studio. She is smiling and leaning on a white table covered with paintings, art supplies, and a green cutting mat. The background shows shelves with books, potted plants, and artwork pinned to the walls.

Most creative partners bring you one thing. I bring the full picture: thirty years across fine art, signage production, IT operations, and startups, all funnelled back into the studio. It means I understand briefs, budgets, and stakeholders as well as I understand colour and composition.

Coaching

You're good at the work. The business of it keeps getting in the way. That's the bit I can help with.

Projects

Need someone who can actually make the thing, or run project co-ordination. That's my lane.

The work, in their words

Interior of a home with potted plants on a small table and a stand, a framed portrait on the wall, a thermostat, and a sliding glass door leading outside with yellow chairs visible.

“Aprill painted a beautiful portrait of our daughter right before she headed off to college. She captured our daughter’s joy and light perfectly. It now hangs in our dining room so she can have dinner with us every night.”

— Janelle

An abstract painting with bold black shapes and splashes of red, yellow, and orange on a muted green background.

“Aprill created a one of a kind triptych for Australian Community Managers that was both visually striking and thoughtfully imagined. Drawing on brand materials and the context I offered, she translated our mission and identity into three stunning works of art that our members adored.”
