About Aprill

Making things. Getting things made.

I work with brands, agencies, and organisations that need someone who can think it through and then actually do it. Creative execution, start to finish. If you need a collaborative creative partner who understands briefs, budgets, and stakeholders as well as colour and composition, that's the work I do.

I also coach artists and creative business owners who are great at the work but keep getting buried by the business of it.

Where I came from

I started in retail signage and screen printing, with a stint in public radio on the side. I learned early how to grab attention and tell a story.

Then came twenty years in corporate technology, management consulting, and startups, including co-founding a fintech where I built governance infrastructure, managed investor relationships, and held operational pieces together while we grew.

But all those years in technology took me further away from the kind of work that really makes me tick.

Where I am now

A woman stands in an art studio wearing pink and black leopard print shirt, blue jeans, and red rubber boots. She has short, wavy brown hair and is covering her face with one hand. The studio has artwork, supplies, and a white brick wall.

I'm back in the studio. Painting, making things, finishing my Diploma of Visual Arts, and doing the kind of work where what you make by the end of the day is an actual thing.

I get excited at the idea stage, which is why I like helping people realise their vision as much as I like realising my own.

I work from my studio in Melbourne's inner north. Some creative partnerships can run remotely, especially if it’s project co-ordination rather than making.
