Brief
A parent commissioned a portrait of their daughter before she left for college, working from a favourite photo pulled from Instagram.
Approach
The reference was a single low-resolution photo, so the work was interpretation rather than reproduction: building the colour, light and expression the image suggested rather than copying what it showed. Oil on canvas, 12” x 16”.
Outcome
Framed and delivered to the U.S. in time for the send-off.
